Our Story
Hey! We're Noonday Coffee - a full-service espresso bar in Grand Rapids and West Michigan area, here to serve your next event.
McKenna (GR Native) met Colin (Colorado Native) in Denver in 2023 and were married in the fall, 2025.
Colin has been working in speciality coffee on and off for roughly 8 years, while also balancing a growing tech career as a software engineer. Even though he was working on exciting teams and products, he always wished he was behind the bar at a local coffee shop.
While dating, we began working weekends at a Colorado mountain cafe and quickly discovered that a love for speciality coffee was shared. While working there, we started dreaming up creative specialty drinks on slow afternoons.
Colin fulfilled his teenage dream of getting a Japanese Mini Truck ("KEI" Truck) in Summer 2024 and Noonday Coffee was born! Inspired by the cafes and wine bars Colin and McKenna visited during travels abroad, Noonday Coffee is a concept based on warm hospitality, delicious craft coffee, and a causal vibe that brings delight.
